Last Sunday Lesson Review (2/11/18) -    That Your Joy Might Be Full  -    Angel Glesch
Lesson Comments & Ideas:  What did you do this week to focus on Joy?  Sister's comments:  Prepared for foster children, studied the scriptures about Jesus Christ (his authority), had a dance party:), practiced living in the here and now not thinking of past or future.

Where should we turn for peace? Sister's comments:  Prayer, counting my blessings (no one was hurt in our car crash this week), ask the Lord to calm me, going to the temple, I often go to my family and talk about things first and then pray, husband's job changed to self-employed -  having faith and knowing that everything will be alright, all things are spiritual to the Lord and he will help us.  Lasting Joy is focusing on the Savior.  He is the source of all healing.  We should turn to Him.  Read/Listen to the hymn:  "Where Can I Turn For Peace"  It tells you how to find peace.

A sister opened up and shared that she has had a desire for a stronger and more personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She felt close to Heavenly Father and has been praying for growth and development in her relationship with Jesus Christ.  Has anyone else felt like this?  Another sister commented by remembering the song "I am a Child of God" as a child which helped her feel close to Heavenly Father.  As an adult she has read a book that had a profound affect on her, called, "Believing Christ" by Stephen E. Robinson (there is a book too, but this is a devotional given in 1990). She learned more about the Savior's grace and his Atonement and how to accept them and His enabling power.

"The Living Christ" - A sister had a calling where they had the YW in the Stake memorize "The Living Christ".  They broke it into 12 parts and spent a period of time on each part.  They practiced day after day for months.  It was very powerful as every word in it is inspired.  She said that you will gain a testimony of Christ if you do this and you will gain a testimony that Joseph Smith saw the Savior.  Another sister said that she new of a Primary that broke it down and learned it and gave it in their Primary program.  It was very special for them to know the Savior from that experience. Another sister knows a family that has it on their refrigerator and gave rewards when the kids memorized it.  You can go to the Bible Dictionary under "Christ" and learn of Him and all of his titles.  A sister expressed that the Savior suffered and died for us and she wonders if she is using what he has done enough in her life.  We talked about how all encompassing His pain was for us.  We came back to topic of Joy.  Jesus is Joy.  The more we come unto Jesus the more Joy we will feel. Find scriptures that you can go to when you need to be uplifted.  Look for quotes from General Conference and use them on your phone and read the talks they come from.  You can go to Alma 5 and do a self-evaluation - write out the questions and evaluate yourself.  A sister's Stake President used a small picture of Jesus Christ which he kept with him to remind him of the Savior's love for him.  He does love us.

Action Item:  Read the Hymn - "We Believe in Christ" - Hymn 134 and write the thoughts and feelings that come to you when you read it.

Angel gave everyone a laminated copy of "The Living Christ" and "Proclamation of the Family"
